8 Dead and 131 Wounded
The Armenian Ministry of Health issued a public statement according to which 131 persons were admitted to various Yerevan hospitals for medical treatment on March 1, 2008. In addition, from 6 AM until 9:30 PM, the number of wounded was only 42, of which 14 were soldiers and 28 civilians. No deaths had been reported during those specific hours.
From 9:30 PM to 1 AM the total number of wounded rose to 89, of which 58 were soldiers.
16 of the wounded 72 soldiers and 18 of the wounded civilians suffered from gunshot and shrapnel injuries.
As of 11 AM on March 2nd, 41 of the wounded had been released from the hospitals.
