The State Interests Protection Department of the RA General Prosecutor’s Office has initiated criminal cases on the abuses found out during the cleaning work of trees and bushes that remained in the water after the level of Lake Sevan increased. As a result of the examination carried out based on mass media publications it has turned out that the “Wild Gate” Ltd. in 2006-2008, the “Tri Gren” Ltd. in 2009 and the “H. Eloyan and sons” Ltd. in 2009 won the competitions announced by the RA Nature Protection Ministry to clean and uproot the trees and bushes remained in the water after the level of Lake Sevan had increased as well as other works by means of the financing received from the State Budget. Taking into account the public interest RA Prosecutor General’s Office informs that according to the check-up the work carried out by the “Tri Gren” Ltd. and the “H. Eloyan and sons” Ltd. didn’t correspond to the technical character of the contracts that is the norms of the technical character and works of cutting, cleaning, sorting and transportation of 86,5 and 331 cubic meter of timber had been conducted incompletely. The head of the “State Departmental Examination of the RA Projects” CJSC confirmed the executive acts presented by the “Tri Gren” Ltd. on the work carried out in Noratus and Sevan in September, October and December 2009 and the “H. Eloyan and sons” Ltd. on the work carried out in Martuni and Vardenis in September, October, November and December 2009 without comparing them with the executive acts on the quantity of timber delivered to the “Sevan National Park” SNCO. About 35 hectare of water covered trees was not cleaned by the “Wild Gate” Ltd. and the norms of the technical character and works of cutting, cleaning, sorting and transportation of 795,7 cubic meter of timber had been conducted incompletely. The general forester of the “Sevan National Park” SNCO confirmed the false executive acts on the carried out work without conducting documental comparison and the head of the Biological Resources Department of the RA Nature Protection Ministry without conducting proper supervision and checking the executive acts confirmed the conclusions of July, October, December 2006, September, October, December 2007 and October and December 2008 according to which the “Wild Gate” Ltd. had carried out the works of the agreement. As a result of this the officials of the RA Nature Protection Ministry accepted the works based on the records. The State Interests Protection Department of the RA General Prosecutor’s Office has initiated criminal cases according to the RA Criminal Code Articles 179, part 2, point 3 and part 3, point 1, 214, part 2, as well as the RA Criminal Code Articles 179, part 3, point 1, 308, part 2 and 315, part 2. The criminal cases have been sent to the General Investigation Department of the RA Police to carry out the preliminary investigation of the criminal cases.
