Armenia ranked 48th in the IFC-World Bank’s recently released "Doing Business 2011: Making a Difference for Entrepreneurs" report in the overall category "Ease of Doing Business"; a drop of 4 places from last year. In the ten key indicators employed by the report, Armenia only witnessed a positive change in one – Trading across Borders. This year Armenia climbed to the 83rd spot from last year’s 103rd ranking in this category. According to the report, Armenia’s Gross National Income Per Capita stands at $3,100. The report ranks 183 economies on key aspects of business regulation for domestic firms, discloses that 117 economies carried out 216 regulatory reforms aimed at making it easier to start and operate a business, strengthening transparency and property rights, and improving the efficiency of commercial dispute resolution and bankruptcy procedures.
