Levon Zurabyan: “Don’t ask me absurd questions”

Yesterday, Tigran Karapetyan, President of Armenia’s People’s Party, said that he was ready to collaborate with everyone as long as it was on a level playing field. The businessman turned politician also issued an ultimatum to the government – meet my list of demands or I will call for snap elections. We telephoned Levon Zurabyan, a spokesman for HAK (Armenian National Congress), and asked if the opposition bloc headed by Levon Ter-Petrosyan intended to join forces with Karapetyan. Here’s how the conversation went: At his last rally, Tigran Karapetyan said he was willing to work with all political forces if they joined with him. Does the HAK intend to do so? I don’t even think you take the possibility seriously. What do you mean? I answered your question. Why don’t you want to unite with Karapetyan? C’mon. This question is just as absurd as the first. You’re saying you don’t want to respond? Not if all the questions are like this. Tigran Karapetyan has gathered thousands to his rallies. This has to mean something. That’s it. Thanks for the interview.
