On August 3 Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received the delegation of Bundestag of the Federal Republic of Germany, which consisted of CDU/CSU (the Christian Democratic Union/ the Christian Social Union) caucus members Manfred Grund and Albert Weiler.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia commended the current level of the Armenian-German relations, that is expressed through dynamic and efficient political dialogue, reciprocal visits, including those within the inter-parliamentary platforms. The cooperation of the parliamentarians of Armenia and Germany within the parliamentary assemblies was touched upon.

Both sides noted the significance to exploit the potential of the bilateral cooperation in different areas to its fullest.

The perspectives of the development of trade and economic cooperation was discussed. The activity of the Armenian-German Intergovernmental Commission on Financial and Technical Cooperation was highlighted.

Minister Nalbandian presented the efforts exerted by the Armenian side towards the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, mentioned that subversive actions organized by the Azerbaijani side on the Line of Contact between Karabakh and Azerbaijan and on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the violations of cease-fire regime pursue an aim to undermine the negotiation process. Together with the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Armenia will take the necessary steps for halting the subversive actions, for the stabilization of the situation, for continuation of the negotiation process aimed at the settlement of the conflict exclusively through peaceful means.
