At a meeting yesterday with provincial governors, Armenia’s Minister of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations Armen Yeritsyan urged them to continue to follow up on foodstuff prices hikes in order to prevent cases of retail abuse.

During the consultative meeting it was reported that the Armenian government had finalized a list of 32 border area communities that will be receiving state social assistance.

Residents of these communities will be paying 50% the normal consumer rate for natural gas (up to 360 cubic meters annually) and electricity (1,440 kW annually) starting next year.
