On August 7, Catholicos Aram I hosted  Dr. Michel Nseir,  representative of the World Council of Churches (WCC) in the Middle East and Dr Michel Jalkh, acting general secretary of the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC).

The working meeting allowed for a general discussion regarding the potential for strengthening cooperation between the WCC and the MECC and the implementation of programs designed for such an objective.
