Catholicos of All Armenians, Garegin II, officiated at the consecration of the St. Mariam Astvatzatzin Church in the Swedish city of Södertälje on October 24.

Reconstruction of the church, financed by the community faithful, began in 2014.

Present at the ceremony were Armenia’s Minister of Diaspora Affairs Hranoush Hakobyan and Armenia’s Ambassador to Sweden, Artak Apitonyan.
