450 Organizations Take Advantage of Border Community Tax Law
Armenia’s National Assembly today debated a bill that would modify and make amendments to a law that frees businesses in border communities in the country from paying taxes.
Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) MP Elinar Vardanyan asked Deputy Minister of Economy Emil Tarasyan how the situation in these communities had changed after said law was passed and the state of business today there.
Tarasyan said that 450 organizations in 31 village communities have taken advantage of the law.
According to Tarasyan, the government has prepared a list of those border communities that have suffered due to Azerbaijani shelling and that the revenue involved amounted to 1.1 billion drams.
The deputy minister claimed that the bill would further spur manufacturing.
