Three Hetq articles won prizes at today’s Suitcase 2015 Migration Journalism awards ceremony in Yerevan.

Pap Hayrapetyan's “International Crisis Forces Sevan Furniture Maker to Return Home” and Armineh Ghoukasyan’s “Dr. Arslanyan from Aleppo: All His Patients at the Sevan Polyclinic Get a Kind Word and a Smile” won 3rd place in the print and internet news outlet category.

Hrant Galstyan’s “Syrian-Armenians: A Return They Never Predicted” won special prize.

ArmeniaNow, Новое Время, WomenNet, and Aravot were among the other winners in the print and internet news outlet category, which garnered the most submissions (40 in all).

Submissions in the radio and TV categories were 17 and 10 respectively.

The People in Need Office in Armenia, Repat Armenia and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Armenia organized “Suitcase 2015", the 6th annual journalistic competition dedicated to the International Day of Migrants celebrated yearly on December 18.

The competition is part of the “Support of the Circular Migration and Reintegration Process in Armenia project funded by the EU.
