
Armenia and Iran Sign MOU to Cooperate in Battling Corruption
Naser Seraji, president of the General Inspection Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Aghvan Hovsepyan, president of Armenia’s Investigative Committee, today signed a Memo of Understanding (MOU) in Yerevan whereby the two countries pledge to cooperate in the fight against corruption and the defense of human rights according to their domestic legislation and accepted principles of international law.
A statement issued by Armenia’s Investigative Committee says that the two sides stressed the importance of exchanging up to date information regarding criminal cases and providing legal assistance when necessary.
