Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has congratulated Giorgi Kvirikashvili on being confirmed as Georgian prime minister.

Although Giorgi Kvirikashvili was only officially confirmed as Georgian prime minister last week, he had been serving in that capacity since last year.

In a statement, Sargsyan expressed hope that the current level of cooperation between the two countries would flourish to the mutual benefit of both nations.
