The Artsakh Defense Army halted an attempted incursion by Azerbaijani military forces in the Talish region of Karabakh on January 1, this according to the NKR Ministry of Defense.

One Azerbaijani soldier was captured, and at least one was injured on the battlefield, the ministry reports.

Azerbaijan’s defense ministry, in a statement, verified the claim.
