
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan Visits Isfahan
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, now in Iran on an official visit, today left Tehran for Isfahan.
According to an Armenian government press release, the prime minister, his wife Anna Hakobyan and Armenian delegation members, escorted by Isfahan Governor Abbas Rezaei, visted Nakhsh-E Jahan Sqaure, the city’s central square where many spiritual and cultural facilities are located.
Nikol Pashinyan and Anna Hakobyan visited the Imam and Sheikh Lothollah mosques, Ali Qapu Palace and Kesariyeh Bazari. During the tour, they were briefed on the history of Iranian spiritual and cultural institutions.
During a working dinner hosted by Abbas Rezaei, Pashinyan underlined the importance of cooperation between neighboring Iranian and Armenian regions, which can be promoted by mutual visits, friendly contacts and practical steps.
Abbas Rezaei thanked the PM Pashinyan for visiting his province and praised the Armenian community for its role in the development of Isfahan.
In the second half of the day, Prime Minister Pashinyan is scheduled to meet with representatives of the Armenian community in Isfahan.
