
Armenia to Launch Organ Transplant Program, Health Minister Says
At a discussion today in Yerevan regarding the health challenges facing Armenia, Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan noted the three main sectors needing improvement – preventative medicine, new medical insurance mechanisms, and oncology (cancer screenings, treatment and palliative care).
Torosyan, according to a ministry statement, said that Armenia would soon launch a kidney, liver and heart transplant program with organs taken from live and deceased donors.
