On March 19, in Vienna, Armenian Ambassador to Austria Armen Papikyan presented his diplomatic credentials to Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen.

The Austrian president congratulated Papikyan on his appointment as ambassador and expressed the hope that the two countries would continue to strengthen the friendly relations between Vienna and Yerevan.

Ambassador Papikyan, according to an Armenian government press release, said he’s ready to go the extra mile to see that relations are expanded.

The ambassador said that Armenia places great importance on inter-governmental relations with Austria and thus stressed the need to organize mutual visits and meetings of top officials.
