PM Pashinyan Attends Opening of New Yerevan Park
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, accompanied by Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan and other government officials, today attended the official opening of park dedicated to the 2,800th anniversary of the founding of Yerevan.
The new park, built with funding from the Vardanyan Family Charitable Foundation, sits on a stretch of land between Shahumyan and Myasnikian Squares.
An earlier park, with mature trees, existed on the site but had been neglected for years.
The new park boasts a drip irrigation system, water fountains, and a mosaic map of Yerevan.
The Vardanyan Foundation will cover park maintenance expenses for the next 99 years.
