Pashinyan Arrives in Kazakhstan to Attend Supreme Eurasian Economic Council Session
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan arrived in the Kazakh capital of Nur-Sultan today to attend a May 29 session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
Exiting the plane, Pashinyan was greeted by Kazakh Minister of Information and Communication Dauren Abayev, Kazakh Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yermek Kosherbayev, and Nur-Sultan Deputy Mayor Nurlan Nurkenov.
The current session will mark the fifth anniversary of EAEU, which comprises Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. It will focus on the Main guidelines for member-states’ macroeconomic strategy for 2019-2020, a wide range of other documents on liberalization of markets of goods and services and on cooperation in digital economy.
Prime Minister Pashinyan is also scheduled to meet with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and with Armenian business leaders in Kazakhstan.
