The Armenian government today appointed Sona Hovhannisyan rector of the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan.

Hovhannisyan had been serving as the conservatory’s acting rector for the past six months.

Hovhannisyan, by a vote of 15-8 of the executive board, was elected to the post of rector on May 15.
