Armenian President Armen Sarkissian today sent a congratulatory message to his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, on the occasion of Russia Day.

Russia Day, the national holiday of the Russian Federation, commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic on June 12, 1990.

“I am certain that the friendship between our peoples will serve as a much stronger foundation in the future for the strengthening of Armenian-Russian relations and expanding cooperation between our countries,” Sarkissian wrote to Putin.
