Armenian President Meets with European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation Carlos Moedas
Armenian President Armen Sarkissian and European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation Carlos Moedas discussed ways by which Armenia could get involved in international research projects and how Armenia’s cooperation with Horizon 2020, the biggest European Union Research and Innovation program ever with nearly €80 billion of funding available over seven years (2014-2020), can be expanded.
The two met in Zurich today, where Sarkissian is attending the STARMUS festival, a biennial event bringing together leading scientists, legendary astronauts and iconic musicians and artists who share their passion for knowledge with the public.
This year, the festival pays tribute to the lunar program and the Apollo astronaut’s first step on the moon.
The price for a general ticket for the six day festival is €900.
