On July 16, at around 11pm, Azerbaijan fired from Nakhichevan in the direction of Yelpin village of Vayots Dzor Province. 

Areni Community Mayor Housik Sahakyan says the gunfire damaged a roof of one of the Yelpin houses.

"Recently, not only in Yelpin, but all over the Areni region, shooting has become more frequent," said Sahakyan.

The Vayots Dzor Provincial Governor and local Red Cross office were informed about the shooting.

Armenian Ministry of Defense press spokesperson Artsrun Hovhannisyan told Hetq that the Armenian side responded to the Azerbaijani gunfire.
