
Armenia to Spend $221,000 to Promote Tourism
The Armenian government will spend AMD 105 million (US$221,000) to raise Armenia’s image as a foreign tourist destination and to improve the quality of services provided.
According to Minister of Economy Tigran Khachatryan, AMD 90 million will be spent on promoting Armenia as a tourism destination to the markets in Russia, Georgia and China.
The remainder will be used to improve facilities and roads at Armenia’s best-known scenic sites.
