Today is the sixteenth day that former Armenian Army serviceman Tsolak Khachatryan has staged a hunger strike outside the Government Building in Yerevan.

Khachatryan is demanding that the Ministry of Defense pays him the severance package he claims he’s entitled to, as well as overtime compensation for working Saturdays.

Responding to a Hetq inquiry, Defense Ministry Press Secretary Artsrun Hovhannisyan said that they are trying to solve the problem within the parameters of the law.
