On August 2, at the Ministry of Defense, High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zareh Sinanyan hosted a reception for those participating in a Diaspora Young Leaders training session.

Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan was on hand to brief participants on Armenia's defense policy, current security environment, priorities of the government's program within that framework, the current status of the Artsakh conflict, as well as key directions of international military cooperation.

According to a ministry press release, Tonoyan emphasized that the participants play an important role in strengthening Armenia-Diaspora ties and consolidating the youth potential of diaspora communities in favor of Armenia's defense and security issues.
