Samvel Karapetyan introduced a photo-album dedicated to the 1,050th anniversary of marking Ani as a capital of Armenia at a press conference today.

Karapetyan, President of the Armenian Architecture Research Foundation, said that Ani symbolizes the flights of fancy of the Armenian architectural mind and that “Ani is our entrée into world civilization”.

“Ani”, the tri-lingual album includes over 600 photos and was published at the behest of the Ministry of Diaspora affairs. Some of the 900 copies should find their way to local bookshops.
