Following the arrest of Gagik Khachatryan, a former Armenian finance minister and head of the State Revenue Committee on August 27, a Yerevan court today ordered the arrest of his nephew, Karen Khachatryan, on similar charges; large scale embezzlement.

Karen Khachatryan also worked at the State Revenue Committee.

National Security Service Director Artur Vanestyan told reporters that the case against the Khachatryans involves several millions of dollars.
