Armenian Parliamentary Commmittee Approves Bill Criminalizing Animal Cruelty

The Armenian National Assembly’s Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs today endorsed a draft law criminalizing cruelty to animals.

The bill, coauthored by Prosperous Armenia MP Naira Zohrabyan, seeks to impose jail sentences for up to one year for those found guilty of animal cruelty.
