Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS) says it prevented 52 attempts to illegally cross the country’s state border in the first half of this year.

The NSS says that 78 individuals were involved.

38 attempts (57 people) were made to illegally enter Armenia, and 14 attempts (21 people) were made to leave the country.

29 out of the 57 attempting to illegally enter Armenia were Iranian citizens. 12 were citizens of Armenia, 9 - India, 3 - Slovenia, 1 - Portugal, Congo, Pakistan, Guinea, Russia, UK, Romania, Italy.
