The Armenian government today allocated 268 million drams ($563,000) to obtain planning and accounting documents for the renovation of water supply systems throughout the country's hinterlands.

The money will be given to the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, which will donate it to the Armenian Regional Development Fund.

The ministry says that the renovation is vitally necessary given the large amount of water leakage.
