Armenian National Assembly Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan today, in Nur Sultan, the capital of Kazakhstan, met with President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Georgi Tsereteli at the 4th Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries’ Parliaments (MSEAP 4). 

According to an Armenian National Assembly press release, Georgi Tsereteli highly appreciated the active participation of the Armenian parliamentary delegation in the work of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.

The two discussed the possibility of holding various events of the OSCE PA in Armenia, which would be aimed at strengthening the capacity of the parliament and parliamentary oversight, the fight against corruption, law-making activity, introduction of effective mechanisms for ensuring civil society participation.

Themed “Greater Eurasia: Dialogue. Trust. Partnership”, the meeting brought together 65 parliamentary delegations from European and Asian countries and 14 international and inter-parliamentary organizations.

MSEAP is a Eurasian parliamentary cooperation mechanism initiated by the Chairman of the State Duma of Russia and the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea.
