Armenian, Maltese Foreign Ministers Sign Double Taxation Agreement
On September 24, in New York, on the sidelines of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly, Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with his Maltese counterpart Carmelo Abela.
According to an Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs press release, the interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the dynamic dialogue between the two countries and their achievements.
Regular consultations between the ministries of the two countries, promotion of effective bilateral contacts in parliamentary format, mutual visits at different levels, initiation of exchange programs in the educational and cultural spheres were highlighted in this connection.
The statement reads that the two sides expressed their readiness to continue to take practical steps to develop and expand partnerships in the fields of trade, economy, agriculture, tourism, information technology, creative education and innovation, highlighting the importance of direct involvement of new players in these fields.
At the end of the meeting, the parties signed an agreement between the governments of Armenia and Malta on the elimination of double taxation of income and the prevention of tax evasion.
