752 Million AMD Import Tax Exemption to Vanadzor Garment Factory

The Armenian government will grant a 752 million AMD import tax exemption to the Gloria Sewing Factory in Vanadzor.  

The company plans to import 8.325 billion AMD worth of goods from China and Turkey to produce garments.

The Ministry of Economy says the company plans to invest 3 billion drams to buy new equipment and renovate new branches.

The company says it will create 200-250 new jobs as part of the investment program with an average salary of 120,000 AMD.

According to the ministry, the sewing factory now employs 1,100.
