The Armenian government today allocated 52 million drams (US$109,500) to Ministry of High-Tech Industry.

Of this amount, 40 million drams will be used to pay the salaries and extra payments of ministry employees, and 12 million drams to pay bonuses and monetary incentives.

A government press release says that the ministry requested the additional funds because the number of its employees has increased from 130 to 198.

The additional personnel was needed to due to the ministry’s increased workload following the structural changes in the government.
