Armenian Foreign Minister Receives French MPs and Mayors

Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan today, in Yerevan, received a delegation led by French parliamentarians and mayors.

Welcoming the guests, Minister Mnatsakanyan said: “I highly appreciate your contribution and continued efforts to deepen and strengthen the Armenian-French friendship. Our peoples are united by deep feelings of friendship, living together, trust and respect."

The two sides expressed satisfaction with the existing cooperation and decentralized cooperation in the areas of mutual interest, aimed at strengthening the friendship and people-to-people contacts. In this context, both sides emphasized the full use of the potential of the parliamentary platform and joint efforts in this format.

At the request of the French delegation, Mnatsakanyan referred to the wide-ranging agenda of reforms initiated by the Government of Armenia, highlighting the reform of the judicial system and raising public confidence in it.

Minister Mnatsakanyan also talked about Armenia's foreign policy priorities.

 In the context of the latest developments in the Nagorno Karabakh peace process, Mnatsakanyan emphasized that Artsakh is first and foremost comprised of people who enjoy inalienable human rights, and human contacts are an integral part of them.
