
Armenian Parliament Passes Bill Criminalizing Animal Cruelty
The Armenian National Assembly, by a vote of 99-4, today passed a bill making animal cruelty a crime punishable by a fine in the amount of one hundred to three hundred times minimal salaries, or by detention of 1-3 months, or by imprisonment for up to one year.
The parliament, in its second reading, fully endorsed the draft amendment introduced by the Prosperous Armenia.
