Armenian President and Belarus PM Meet in London; Discuss Cooperation Prospects

In London today, as part of the first investment summit of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Armenian President Armen Sarkissian met with Belarus Prime Minister Sergei Roumas and discussed the development of cooperation between the two countries.

Sarkissian, according to an Armenian government press release, noted that recent productive visits to Belarus highlighted areas and areas of great potential for development of cooperation, as well as prospects for the latest technologies - artificial intelligence and mathematical modeling.

Sarkissian suggested discussing possible joint projects in the field of information and high technologies. Prime Minister Roumas said that by joining forces, Armenia and Belarus will move faster in this area. “You have your competitive developments, we have ours. We need to understand how to combine them to have synergy,” he added.

Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan also participated in the meeting.
