Word reached us minutes ago that an accident at the Akhtala Enrichment Combine resulted in the death of 22 year-old Garik Aghjyan, who started working at the mine just 6 weeks ago.

Just days ago, factory workers sent an open letter to President Serzh Sargsyan complaining about unpaid wages and safety issues.

This is the third death at the plant in the last five years

Presently, the European Court is reviewing a safety related case brought by Samvel Shakhkyan, former mayor of Shamlugh.
