Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and his Jordanian counterpart, Ayman Safadi, followed up their December 2 meeting in Yerevan with a telephone conversation today.

The ministers, according to an Armenian government press release, touched upon the bilateral agenda and the continuation of the high-level dialogue, emphasizing the importance of activating high-level contacts and mutual visits.

They also stressed the need to relax tensions that have recently flared in the Middle East.

While in Armenia on an official visit, Ayman Safadi visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex in Yerevan.
