At the annual dinner of the Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations of France (CCAF) held in Paris on January 29, French President Emmanuel Macron delivered a speech that he ended by saying “it is the duty of France to stand with Armenia.”

“I would like to emphasize that our will is to continue contributing, together with the Diaspora, to our investment in this new Armenia for the benefit of France, Armenians of French descent, for relations between Armenia and France, because I grasp all the challenges facing such a brave new Armenia. Just looking at the map, we see great dangers and the world on a threshold. With such a democratic viability and such a tragic history, it is France's duty to stand with Armenia,” Macron said.

The French President reaffirmed his respect for Armenia, a country that magnificently showed the world its ability to stage a peaceful revolution without outside influence.
