Newly appointed Ambassador of Iran to Armenia Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri today presented copies of his credentials to Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan

Minister Mnatsakanyan congratulated Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri on his new diplomatic post and expressed hope that he would contribute to the strengthening of Armenian-Iranian relations.

According to a statement released by the foreign ministry, the parties exchanged views on steps to be taken to further deepen and enrich the bilateral agenda between Armenia and Iran.

During the meeting, the sides touched upon several urgent issues on the regional and international agenda. Both sides highlighted the importance of joint efforts aimed at maintaining regional stability and security.

Both sides noted the importance of the Armenian community in the social and political life of Iran and its bridging role in relations between the two countries.
