On April 1, Armenia’s Court of Cassation rejected the suit filed by the environmental NGO Ecodar in protest of a RA Administrative Court’s March 24 verdict.

The lower court had also thrown out Ecodar’s suit against the mining company, Armenian Copper Programme. The environmental group had gone to court to get a stop order for the company’s mining operations in Teghut.

EcoLur President Hrayr Savzyan says the Cassation Court did not state the reason for the rejection and that they are waiting for an official response.
