Following a meeting today in Yerevan with Chinese Ambassador to Armenia Tian Erlong, Armenian Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan announced that China will soon give 1,000 coronavirus test kits to Armenia at no charge.

Torosyan said that China has already provided funds to Armenia to purchase additional medical supplies.

A Ministry of Health press release did not specify the amounts of the funds provided by China.

Ambassador Erlong told Torosyan that the coronavirus situation in China is improving.

Minister Torosyan claimed that viral infections tend to retreat with the onset of warmer weather and that only one  case of Covid-19 has been confirmed in Armenia.
