Some Parents of Classmates of Etchmiadzin 3rd Grader Diagnosed with COVID-19 Refuse Quarantine
Armenian Ministry of Health Spokesperson Alina Nikoghosyan announced today that one of those recently diagnosed with COVID-19 is a school-aged child.
Hetq did some digging and found out that the child is a third grader at a public school in Vagharshapat.
School Principal Arusyak Muradyan told Hetq that 35 pupils are currently being isolated with their parents.
Muradyan did say that some parents are refusing to be quarantined.
(Vagharshapat, also known as Etchmiadzin, is the fourth largest town in Armenia. It’s located some eleven miles from Yerevan, in Armavir Province.)
