Armenia's Central Banks Says Country's Financial System is Operating Normally
Armenia’s Central Bank (CB) reports that the country’s financial system is operating within normal parameters.
The CB, in a statement released today, says it has urged commercial banks and credit organizations to adopt a “personalized lending approach” to debtors (hotels, restaurants, transport and entertainment businesses) to avoid undesirable consequences given the current medical emergency.
In addition, banks and credit organizations operating in Armenia, at their discretion, have provided off-site working conditions to their employees at higher risk of infection – those over 60, pregnant women and those with chronic diseases.
The CB urges citizens to use online financial and banking services.
People with further questions are asked to contact the Central Bank of Armenia hotline at 011561954, 011563950, 010592697.
