Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan today directed his staff to formulate a plan to organize a number of small farmers markets within Yerevan.

The few that exist today, do not meet the demand for fresh produce at competitive prices. Last year, a farmer’s market was set up at the intersection of Khandjyan and Komitas Streets and seems to have been a success.
