
Artsakh: Arayik Harutyunyan and Masis Mayilyan to Face Off in Presidential Election Second Round
Arayik Harutyunyan and Masis Mayilyan will face off for the post of Artsakh president in a second round of balloting scheduled for April 14 since none of the thirteen candidates in yesterday election garnered more than 50% of the vote.
The two lead the field with former Artsakh PM Arayik Harutyunyan winning 49.26% of the vote and current Artsakh Foreign Minister Masis Mayilyan receiving 26.4%.
The results of yesterday’s presidential election are as follows:
Arayik Harutyunyan: 36,076 votes (49.26%)
Masis Mayilyan: 19,360 (26.4%)
Vladimir Balasanyan: 10,755 (14.7%)
Davit Ishkhanyan: 1,883 (2.56%)
Ashot Ghulyan: 1,683 votes (2.3%)
Hayk Khanumyan: 962 votes (1.3%)
Vahan Badasyan: 743 votes (1%)
Ruslan Israyelyan: 368 votes (0.5%)
Kristine Balayan: 202 votes (0.3%)
Ashot Dadayan: 198 votes (0.3%)
Bella Lalayan: 162 votes (0.2%)
Melsik Poghosyan: 141 votes (0.2%)
Sergey Amiryan: 106 votes (0.2%)
2,625 ballots were rejected.
Voter turnout in yesterday’s election was 73.5%
