President Sargsyan Meets With Belgian-Armenian Community Reps

During his working visit to Brussels, President Sargsyan met with representatives of Armenian organizations of Belgium.

President Sargsyan noted the invaluable role and importance of the Diaspora for the Republic of Armenia. “I’m grateful to you for proving that it’s possible to be Belgians and maintain and develop the Armenian identity,” President Serzh Sargsyan said.

President Sargsyan spoke about Armenia’s relations with Belgium, the European Union and NATO and v prospects for their development. He also referred to Armenian foreign and domestic policies, regional challenges, latest developments in the process of settlement of the Karabakh issue, and Armenia-Turkey relations.

President Serzh Sargsyan also had a meeting with NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen.

Rasmussen noted that NATO values its relations with Armenia and that Armenia and NATO have common approaches in challenging political priorities and security issues.
