The Armenian government today approved the tenth in a series of financial packages to soften the impact of the coronavirus crisis on the economy.

The new package will provide one-time grants to the owners of micro-businesses.

An estimated 6,000 business owners will be eligible for the payments.

One-time assistance will be provided in the amount of 10% of the turnover of goods, services provided during the period from January 1 to April 1, 2020, but not more than twice the minimum wage (136,000 drams).

Those who have more than two employees, who are beneficiaries of other government programs, or whose turnover of goods and services during the first quarter of 2020 exceeded six million drams are not eligible.
