
Martin Galstyan Elected Next Governor of Central Bank of Armenia
The Armenian National Assembly, by a vote of 104 to 15, today elected Martin Galstyan to succeed Arthur Javadyan as Governor of the Central Bank of Armenia.
Galstyan, backed by the ruling Im Kayl (My Step) faction, was the only candidate for the post.
He has a PhD in Economics. He graduated from the John F. Kennedy School of Public Administration in 2000 and then from Harvard University with a master's degree in public administration.
Javadyan’s term in office expires on June 12.
